Hunger: NDON EYO 2; Etinan gets 20 bags of Rice and 2 Bags of Garri

  Etinan gets 1,280 Bags of Rice and 128 Bags of Garri.  Gov. Umo Eno of Akwa-Ibom State has At a time when the country is facing severe hunger due to the soaring prices of essential commodities in the market, the Akwa Ibom State Government is distributing essential food items such as Rice and Garri to people in 2,272 registered villages in the state.  At a press conference two weeks ago, the Commissioner of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Offiong Offor, disclosed that the state government has received 24,000 bags of rice weighing 25kg and has added an additional 24,000 bags to ensure that each village gets 20 bags.  Governor Umo Eno, last Saturday, July 27, 2024, during a media briefing with the transition committee chairmen, announced the addition of Garri, to be distributed  along with the Rice.  Already some of local government areas have started distributing the food items, to their respective villagese, this intervention will go...
