New Political Party ADA Emerges, Plans to Sack APC President Tinubu in 2027 – Kenneth Okonkwo Speaks
Actor-turned-politician Kenneth Okonkwo announces the launch of ADA, a new political movement with eyes on 2027 elections.
A new political force is rising in Nigeria with bold ambitions. The All Democratic Alliance (ADA), a freshly formed political party, is preparing to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
This was revealed by Kenneth Okonkwo, a popular Nollywood actor, seasoned lawyer, and former spokesperson for Peter Obi in the 2023 Labour Party (LP) presidential campaign.
A New Vision for Nigeria
According to Okonkwo, the ADA presidential ticket will be open to aspirants from all regions of the country, emphasizing the party’s commitment to inclusivity, equality, and democratic participation.
“The All Democratic Alliance is not sectional. It is a people-oriented movement built on justice, equity, and competence. Every qualified Nigerian, regardless of region or ethnicity, will have a fair chance to contest,” he declared.
Why ADA Was Formed
Many of the ADA founding members are former members of major opposition parties, including the LP and PDP. They expressed frustration over leadership failures, internal crises, and lack of reform-oriented agendas in their former parties.
ADA aims to position itself as a credible third force—a party of professionals, youth, technocrats, and activists who want to change Nigeria’s political direction. The party is focused on economic revival, youth empowerment, good governance, and national unity.
Okonkwo’s Breakaway from Labour Party
Kenneth Okonkwo, who gained political credibility during the 2023 campaign for Peter Obi, hinted that his departure from the Labour Party was due to unresolved leadership conflicts and lack of ideological structure.
“We can’t keep repeating old patterns and expect new results. ADA is the beginning of something better for Nigeria,” he said.
What Next for ADA?
Currently, the party is in the process of securing full registration with INEC, and plans are underway to officially unveil its leadership, constitution, and national agenda. Political watchers believe ADA could become a serious contender in the 2027 elections, especially if it gains the support of disillusioned young voters and civil society.
